I_Open 0.36T/0.4T

The i_Open 0.36T/0.4T MRI scanner is a modern magnetic resonance imaging system with a permanent magnet generating a field of 0.36T or 0.4T.

Thanks to its special, compact design, the system can be installed in a small room with an area of 22.5 m².  The use of a permanent magnet enables low power consumption (15 kVA) and, consequently, low operating costs.

The system's magnet has an open design and therefore does not cause a claustrophobic effect. A very wide opening angle ensures free access to the patient and easy positioning. i_Open MRI scanners are equipped with systems that reduce artifacts caused by ventilator operation. In addition, the patient's pulse is continuously monitored by sensors integrated with the device. The system is equipped with simple and intuitive software.

The anatomical region from a preliminary “Scout” scan is displayed in the corner of the monitor. This allows the operator to know at all times exactly where the slice currently shown on the main screen is located.

General characteristics

• Permanent magnet made of high-purity materials
• Patient bed integrated with the device, providing comfort as well as easy and fast positioning.
• Optionally, the system can be equipped with a special dedicated tablet (iPad4) with software that enables remote control of the examination as well as viewing and transmitting images in DICOM format.
• The device is equipped with an innovative temperature stability control system. Thanks to it, the device operates at a constant temperature and is not exposed to disturbances caused by temperature fluctuations.
• A 9-slice preliminary scan system. In i_Open series devices, during a single scan in “Scout” mode and in just 25 seconds, the operator obtains 9 image slices in 3 different orientations. This makes positioning extremely simple and speeds up the time it takes to perform it.
• Excellent magnetic field homogeneity ensures the best image quality with a field of view (FOV) of 40.
• Most functions are marked with “smart icons,” whose position the user can change according to their preferences.
• Optional remote operation of the system using a dedicated tablet.
• An LED display mounted on the gantry showing the current coordinates of the tabletop.
• An efficient and intuitive user interface.
• A laser pointer to facilitate positioning
• A set of 7 high-sensitivity coils (including a head coil)
• Visualization of the anatomical region on the image in “scout” mode
• Graphical positioning using a computer mouse on any computer.
• Automatic verification of scan parameters protects against operator errors
• “Multi-users management” – system operators can create their own sequences assigned to them.
• The acquisition workstation software enables recording of the examination together with a viewer that can be run on any computer.
• The system is equipped with a dedicated quality control phantom. If any irregularities are detected during testing, the software automatically sends a test report to the manufacturer, who then analyzes it.
• A range of solutions improving patient comfort during the examination: o A two-way intercom for communication between the patient and the staff o A set of comfortable pads and pillows o Quiet system operation

EASY OPERATION

The system is operated by a single person. Most functions are marked with “smart icons,” whose position the user can change according to their preferences. Pre-defined scan and positioning parameters make examinations easier to perform

FIBER-OPTIC TRANSMISSION TECHNOLOGY

Data is transmitted to the technician's workstation via fiber optics. This ensures extremely fast and lossless data transfer.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

The MRI scanner is equipped with a system that maintains a constant magnet temperature. It consists of a special thermal coating for the magnet and an automatic temperature regulator.
